Ready To Glow Collection | ThePopHeir | Product Review

Many makeup lovers have decided to put down the contour powder, in favour of strobing/highlighting products. Ulta3 has joined the party and has given us a few options. They have teamed up Australian Model Elyse Knowles to create this collection.

Ready To Glow Primer

This is their illuminating primer that uses light-reflective particles to diffuse light across the skin. It is suppose to help prep for foundation and also extend makeup wear.

I personally have normal skin with an oily t-zone, I tend to avoid using products like these all over the face. I only apply this to the tops of my cheekbones and use a normal primer on the rest of the face. I do find that it does give the area a nice subtle glow. I have, however, applied it all over the face for testing and I did find it gave a nice overall dewy glow to the skin.

I did find that the shimmer particles were a bit large and were quite noticeable. This is perfect for a highlight base. I have also used it on top of foundation and it definitely gives far more intense glow to the skin.

Strobing Kit

I do love a good palette! This palette contains 2 creams and 4 powders. The first two colours on the left column are creams. The lighter colour is perfect for that bright highlighted look, while the bronze colour is perfect for giving a nice bronze base for further bronzing. The next column has the powdered version of the first two colours. If you feel that you want to intensify you highlight, these colours will work wonders. The last 2 shades are blushes. One is a warm pink and the other is a coral toned blush. All the colours have shimmer in it, so it is best to apply it strategically on the face.

Cover it Concealer Duo Light/Medium

Now if don't like strobing with shimmer you can always just use a lighter concealer.  The brand has a nice cream duo which is perfect for travelling. Not only can you conceal imperfections with it, you can also use it to cream highlight. It is more subtle than using shimmer to highlight but it will definitely get the job done.

Overall

I think Ulta3 is stepping up its game! I really appreciate the quality of the products at such an affordable price. I definitely think that their concealer is amazing and who can beat that price tag! The strobing kit definitely works, if you are into a lot of shimmer then this is the palette for you! As for the primer, I don't mind it. I definitely think someone with a drier skin can work with this better but otherwise I am happy to use it just on the cheekbones under foundation.
