2017 is well and truly here! I thought I would share with you guys what I have been using lately on my skin. Some of these aren't new but I find this current combination is doing wonders for my skin.
My Skin
I have normal skin, I sometimes get quite an oily t-zone when I am tired and stressed. I rarely get any dry patches on my skin unless it is a really cold winter. My recurring problem is skin congestion. I am not sure what really causes my skin congestion but I find that using exfoliatant really helpful in keep this problem at bay.
The Products
* Antipodes Reincarnation Pure Facial Exfoliator *
This is my current go to physcial exfoliator. The instructions say that it is ok to use on a daily basis but I tend to just use this product every other day or every 3 days to provide a gentle exfoliation to help the chemical one that I use. After using it, I find that my skin is smoother and does not feel dry.
It contains avocado oil and jojoba beads that help lift away deadskin cells. It also contains marigold flower oil which works to help heal and repair the skin. To balance the skin's appearance, antipodes has thrown in cedarwood and sweet orange to help calm and balance the skin.
* Bioderma Sensibio Makeup Removing Micelle Solution *
Another classic favourite of mine is this micellar water from Bioderma. This is a simple, no fuss product. All you just need is a cotton pad and a little bit of product and that's it.
I love using this product to help give my skin a quick cleanse in the morning before I pop on my sunscreen. It easily removes the excess oil and product build up from the night before, leaving the skin fresh and ready for my morning skincare. I tend to use this for when I know I do not intend to wear makeup that day. This product is available at Priceline and Adore Beauty.
* Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads *
Nip + Fab have changed my life! They have amazing products and their glycolic pads are essentials in my skincare routine. Ever since I started incorporating glycolic acid into my skincare. Nip + Fab says that you can use it twice a day but I just use at night.
These pads are infused with glycolic acid which helps retexture and resurface the skin. Witch hazel to help tone the skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid which is great for moisturising purposes. A recent addition to my skincare routine is this eye cream by Enbacci. I am still new to the brand and we are on a good start. It has nice light yet moisturising formula. It isn't heavily fragranced which is good as it does not irritate my eyes.
The product has been formulated with apple stem cell technology which is does provide optimum moisture around the eye area. In addition to hydration, it has anti-ageing properties and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles. The product is available from Enbacci's website.
* Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream *
I find that this moisturiser is quite rich. I tend to use this as a night cream and it does wonders for my skin. I usually apply a thick layer at night and I find that when I wake up in the morning, I wake with fresh hydrated skin.
Triology states that this product contains rosapene, marula and orange flower. They claim that these ingredients help moisturise the skin and provides nourishment. In addition to that it helps smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This product is available at Trilogy's Website
