I decided to start a new series on the blog. I will call it Brand Focus. In this series, I will talk about some of the best products I have tried so far from a particular brand. To kick off the series, we are starting with NYX cosmetics.
I started watching YouTube since 2010 and almost every beauty guru has used or raved about NYX Cosmetics. As I was still in Hong Kong at the time, it was very hard to get my hands on anything NYX. Since moving to Australia, NYX is much more accessible for me. I have since grown my NYX collection.
In the photo above, I have featured products that I absolutely love from the brand!
Runway Collection Champagne & Caviar Eyeshadow Palette
Despite having a number of eyeshadow palettes, I always seem to find myself going back to this amazing palette. It contains a variety of finishes and shades of brown which is perfect for the everyday person, looking for a palette that can do neutrals to smokey eyes. The eyeshadows are easy to blend, there is minimal fall out and they last pretty well without a primer.
Butter Glosses
I am not a big fan of lip glosses but I have to admit NYX has won me over with this line. The products are very pigmented and can pretty much be called a liquid lipstick with amazing shine. Though it is not the stickiest lip gloss in the market, there is still a bit of tack in the product so people with long hair beware! The lasting power is pretty good at 3-4 hours and they wear throughout the day beautifully.
Mineral Stick Foundation
I do not use this product as a foundation. I mainly use it as a highlighting concealer, so manly on the high points of my face. The consistency is pretty thick, so if you are using this underneath the eyes make sure to set it ASAP with powder. The coverage is medium and can be built up to medium-full. It does not look cakey throughout the day and the coverage is pretty good for up-to 8 hours.
Matte Bronzer
I absolutely love their matte bronzers! As far as I am aware there are 5 shades. They are pretty pigmented, blend well and last pretty well on the skin. This compact also a mirror which is handy if you like to bronze on the go! It isn't too warm either, so depending on your skin colour you can use it to contour.
Blotting Powder
This powder is a must have for those of us that suffer from an oily t-zone! This compact comes with a mirror and a puff but I tend to reach for a brush instead. This product instantly mattifies your skin without looking cakey.
Matte Blush
I have had this blush for years! This is in the shade mocha and I use it all year round. It is quite pigmented, blends well on the skin, does not look chalky and lasts pretty well on the skin without a primer.
