Being a blonde, dry shampoos are an essential part of my hair care. I have tried dry shampoos from the drugstore to professional haircare brands. Bastiste offers various scents and a few colours to suit the needs of many dry shampoo lovers.
What is dry shampoo?
Many people are not familiar with dry shampoo. It is essentially like powder in an aerosol can. When you have oily hair and you do not want to wash your hair yet for whatever reason, you would use a dry shampoo. To use this, simply spray the dry shampoo to the roots then let it work its magic for a minute or two and then you use your hands or a brush to spread it on the rest of the hair. You can use dry shampoo twice or thrice before you have to wash your hair again. This of course is up to your preference.
Batiste
It is a brand that can be found at most drugstores and pharmacies like Priceline. They are reasonably priced and usually are on sale. They are the best for the price.
I love using Batiste dry shampoos because they do not feel dry on the hair, cover my roots nicely and they smell great! I also love the fact that they have various scents to suit everyone's personality. The original formula is great but something about a dry shampoo called sassy & daring just calls for me. The animal print is great to look at and the smell is great!
They also have formulas for blondes and brunettes. Most dry shampoos can leave a white layer on the hair which can dull out brunettes or even look like dandruff. The dry shampoo for brunettes have a light warm brown tint to them so it should work with most brunettes. While the light & blonde formula is more of a warm toned blonde which works well with anyone with level 8-9 hair. Definitely would not suggest it for those that love ash in their hair. So platinum blondes are better to use white dry shampoos.
