Solotica Hidrocor Cristal Contacts on Dark Brown Asian Eyes | MrKenDenis | Review

Solotica coloured contact lenses is probably a brand most people have heard of. I have been wanting to try them out for years! But as many of us know they are a bit pricey, even more so if you do not live in the Americas. In this post I will show you how these lenses look on someone with naturally dark features.

NATURAL EYE COLOUR - Ring Light
My eyes are pretty dark. I have dark warm brown eyes, they appear a tab bit lighter in day light but I would just consider them dark brown.

SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON - Ring Light

Based on what I have seen on the internet for years, Cristal is suppose to be this light grey colour but honestly they are a dark grey on me.

BOTH LENSES IN - Ring Light

They appear lighter with the ring light on. In natural daylight they just look like a dark grey. Still noticeably different from my natural eye colour. Definitely more of a subtle change.

OVERALL REVIEW

I have heard that Solotica has changed their opacity and colour brightness over the years and I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the lenses. I was hoping for super light grey contacts much like Desio's Innocent White but instead these remind me of their Grey Range.

Overall I think these are fantastic lenses. They look great, I wouldn't say very natural but definitely more subtle. I think my expectations for the lenses were so high that I got disappointed at first but after using them more I have learned to love them and that they are more of a natural/subtle pair of lenses. I would recommend these lenses for those looking for a slight change to their look.
