Eco Tools have created a brush that is designed to work well with BB and CC creams. The bristles and the shape of the brush is designed to help with make makeup application around the eyes and nose easy. The company makes great brush and awesome brushes which category do will it fall into?
My Experience
The brush appears to be made of the same material or similar material to that of its other brushes. The bristle appear to be hard but once you run the brush along your skin it is actually quite soft. The bristles are quite firm despite its softness. Despite it being smaller compared to other buffing type brushes I found you still buff in product quite quickly into the skin.
I only have 2 BB creams in my collection and I have never used a CC cream. I have only been able to test this brush out with the 2 BB creams that I own. 1 is by Maybelline and that is quite liquidy and found that the brush buffed in the BB cream easily into my skin without any streak marks.
The second BB cream I own is ,the one featured in the image above, by Rimmel London. The formula of this one reminds me that of Asian BB creams. Its is quite a thick liquid almost cream-like which I found can be hard to buff into the skin if I do not use a brush or my fingers. I found that this brush was perfect for it. It buffed the BB cream in easily into my skin without leaving any streak marks. Its shape is very handy when it comes to applying makeup around the eyes and nose.
Besides using this brush for BB creams, I have used it with my other base makeup such as liquid and cream foundations. It works really well with these products as well. It now rivals my favourite buffing brush in foundation application.
Cleaning the brush is fairly easy. I use a brush and sponge detergent to remove makeup buildup on the brush. None of my pigmented products have strained the bristles so they still look brand new. I have not seen any shedding at all since using this brush.
Overall, this brush is amazing! It is quite affordable and they are made using recycled materials. Best of all they are 100% cruelty free! I highly recommend this brush to anyone who is looking at expanding their brush collection with a smaller buffing brush.
