Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation | ThePopHeir | Product Review

Max Factor's latest foundation release did not get much attention here in Australia. Reading & watching reviews from the U.K. definitely caught my attention. This foundation claims to blur & nourish the skin. However does it deliver?

Max Factor claims that this foundation will help transform your look with flawless, nourished skin in your perfect shade. It is suppose to help blur the imperfections of the skin, therefore giving a healthy look to the skin. In addition to that the finish is dewy as it also provides hydration to the skin. They also state that it is lightweight, ideal for blending.

The foundation comes in 6 shades here in Australia and people with a fair to fair-medium skin colour should be able to find a shade. The shades from the range tend to be either yellow or neutral based. It is available at all place that sell Max Factor.

My experience

I mainly used the foundations in the winter as they are quite light in colour. I used shade 80 on the outer sections of the face and shade 60 in the centre. I found that blending them with a brush was easy but I still preferred using my beauty sponges in applying it as they gave the skin a more airbrush finish. The first layer provided me with light-medium coverage and the second layer provided medium coverage. I still felt the need to conceal my undereye area and blemishes.

It would not completely set, it almost was a bit too dewy. I had to set it with a face powder and it still would have a nice luminous look through the day. However there were times that I felt the need to blot. The foundation would start to breakdown after 6 hours, without touch ups.

Overall

In my opinion this foundation was okay for me. It provided decent coverage, lasted pretty well on the skin and gave a dewy finish to the skin. I feel this foundation would be best suited for someone with a drier skin type. I feel that the hydrating/dewy properties of the product were a bit too much for my already well hydrated skin.

Overall I recommend this foundation to anyone looking for a light-medium, buildable coverage foundation that is great for dry skin.

(Disclaimer: These products were sent to me for review purposes. The company did not influence my opinion on the product in anyway. I believe that I have tried out the product enough to formulate my opinion.)
